How the coefficient is calculated
The combined ranking balances playing quality with experience and is calculated across the club’s entire history, without seasons or monthly splits. First, each player’s average is smoothed with 10 notional games at the average score across all rated club games of all time. This stops one strong game from creating a disproportionate advantage. Then 0.01 is added for every game actually played, capped at 0.20.
Formula: Coefficient = (total points + club average × 10) ÷ (games played + 10) + 0.01 × min(games played, 20)
The player with the higher coefficient ranks higher. If coefficients are equal, the higher raw average comes first, followed by more games played and then nickname in alphabetical order.
